Cheryl Ann Gurganious died peacefully Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Lower Cape Fear Lifecare surrounded by her husband and daughter. Cheryl was born on January 28, 1966 in New Brunswick, New Jersey but was a true Southern Girl living the majority of her life in the Shiloh Community in Pender County, North Carolina. She loved reading, animals and most of all her husband, daughter and grandchildren. Cheryl never missed someone's birthday without a song. She had a very loyal and generous spirt often sacrificing for those she loved, she would give anyone the shirt off her back. She brought laughter and love to the world and she will be missed greatly. Cheryl was preceded in death by her father Michael(Mickey) Sudnikovich, maternal grandparents, Samuel and Lucy Wood; paternal grandparents, Mike and Anna Sudnikovich; and mother-in-law, Sandra Parham Gurganious. Survivors include her husband of 34 years, David, her mother Sandra Wood(Charlie Williams); daughter Sandy Ann Gurganious(Ryan Penninger); two grandchildren, Noah & Mercedes, brother Kohl Absher-Sudnikovich(Prescott); sister Denise Kuebrich(Richard); father-in-law & mother-in-law Franklin & Betty Gurganious, three brothers-in-law, James, Timothy(Terri) and Michael Gurganious(Paula); and extended family, including lots of nieces and nephews. The family will celebrate Cheryl's life at a graveside service for friends and family, at 11:00am Wednesday, July 15 th , 2020 at Eakins Cemetery. Reverend Gardner Eakins will officiate. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Pender County Humane Society in honor of Cheryl.
