Charles Robert "Chuck" Franks Jr. age 57 of Wilmington passed away Tuesday February 21, 2017 at New Hanover Reg. Med. Center.

He was born August 22, 1959 in Memphis TN son of Charles R. Franks Sr. and the late Nancy Carol Rooks Franks Rushing.

He is survived by in addition to his father, his wife Theresa Link Franks; two daughters, Emma Shirley Franks of Wilmington and Sabrey Carol Franks Ball and husband Douglas of Asheville; two brothers, Anthony "Tony" Franks and wife Mary and Casey Rushing all of Wilmington; step brothers, Scott Rushing and wife Donna of VA and Joey Eubanks and wife Karen of FL; step sisters Kitty Besherse and husband Wade of FL and Julie Marsh and husband Robert of SC; and three nephews, Josh, Adam and Trever Franks.

Two of Chuck's passions were NASCAR and hunting.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday February 25, 2017 at Riley's Creek Baptist Church. Reverend Jim Herchenhahn will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rooks family cemetery.
