Charlene Varney Johnson, age 63 of Jacksonville, passed peacefully at home Friday December 11, 2020.

She was born September 7, 1957 in Williamson WV, daughter of the late John and Mary Ball Varney.

She is survived by three sons, John Johnson and wife Jessica of Southgate, MI, Joseph Varney and wife Chelsea of Ypsilanti, MI and Christopher Holt of Ypsilanti, MI; two daughters, Judy Mousmoules and husband John of Sneads Ferry, and Megan Owens and fiancée Christopher Cadieu of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren, Alissa Mayfield, Johnathan Campbell, Thomas Bowie, Justin Johnson, Tyree Bush, Joseph Johnson, Shayna Varney, Nolan Holt, and Jayce Johnson; two sisters, Darlene Delauder and husband Jason of Milan MI, and Colleen Moore and husband Steve of Tecumseh MI, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Judy Varney and brother, Ralph Varney.

Charlene was always the life of the party and if there was no party she made her own. She was always full of life. Charlene was a very Godly person and loved to talk about the bible to anyone and everyone. She was a very forgiving person.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM Friday before the service. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday December 18, 2020 at Harrell's Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Susan Brown will officiate.
