Carolina Schaffner Halverson, age 65 of Burgaw passed peacefully Sunday September 18, 2022 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 23, 1957 in Giessen Wieseck, Germany, daughter of Ingeborg Davis and the late Carlos Victorio.

She is survived by three daughters, Rose Tatum and husband Clark of Elk Park, Adela Ramirez of San Antonio, TX, and Soniqua Carter of Jacksonville; five grandchildren, Gabriel, Grayson, Gage, Grayland, and Gwyneth Grace; three brothers, Ernie Davis, Thomas Schaffner, and Harry Schaffner; a sister, Lieselotte Schneeloch; and many nieces and nephews.

Caroline enjoyed fishing and camping. She also enjoyed dancing and crocheting. She loved her family and her dog, Mr. Wiggles.

A memorial service will be at 2 PM Saturday September 24, 2022 at Harrell's Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
