Carol Sheesley Brown, age 82 of Burgaw, passed peacefully Thursday October 17, 2024 at Novant New Hanover RMC.

She was born October 3, 1942 in Indiana County PA, daughter of the late Valgene and Margaret Sheesley.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Garry Brown; two daughters, Dianne Evens and husband Brian of Wilmington, and Michelle Boyle and husband Kevin of Southport; two grandchildren, Shawn Flynn and Kyle Flynn and wife Jade; great grandson, Beau Flynn; and brother William Sheesley of PA.

Carol was a longstanding member of Bible Baptist Church. She enjoyed basket weaving and trips to the beach. Carol was always an avid reader.

The family will receive friends Wednesday 1:00- 2:00 PM at Harrell's Funeral Home.

A celebration of life will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday October 23, 2024 at Harrell's Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bill Morris officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to The American Heart Association.
