Carl Taylor Stansell Jr., age 75 of Burgaw passed peacefully Tuesday April 30, 2024 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare surrounded by his loving family.

He was born April 2, 1949 in Flint, MI son of Carl and Joyce Stansell Sr.

He is survived by his son, Mike Stansell of Burgaw; a brother, Tom Stansell and wife Linda of Orlando, FL; a sister Pam Clark of Jackson, MI and two nieces.

Carl was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving honorably in the United States Army. He enjoyed surfing and running. Carl owned his own business doing auto frame and body work.

A memorial service will be in Michigan at a later date.
