Annie Belle Humphrey Reed, age 103 of Burgaw, passed peacefully Tuesday November 28, 2023 at Pen-Du Rest Home.

She was born May 24, 1920 in Jones County daughter of the late Alexander and Addie Henderson Humphrey.

She met her husband James in Richmond VA.They were married in Ohio where they remained until he passed and she moved to NC in 1997.

She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Reed of Burgaw, and Marlene Rogers and husband Rich of Loveland, CO; two grandchildren, Dean Rogers of Australia, and Lee Rogers of CO; two great grandchildren, Hugo Rogers and Austin Rogers; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, James Reed; four brothers, Alan Humphrey, Ben Humphrey, Rowland Humphrey Sr., and Wade Humphrey.

Belle was a long time member of Maple Hill Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed gardening and loved growing plants and flowers. She worked for a number of years as a unit clerk at Hillsboro Hospital outside of Cincinnati.

A celebration of her life will be May 24, 2024 at Burgaw Presbyterian Church. Reverend Will Davis will officiate and an inurnment will be at the church. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Salvation Army.
