Amy Joann Brinkley Mintz age 47 of Rocky Point, passed peacefully Monday August 2, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born January 7, 1974 in New Hanover County, daughter of Joseph Brinkley and the late Gloria Harts Brinkley.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Mintz; sons, Ricky Dees of Burgaw and Sammy Dees of Rocky Point; daughter, Jamie Mintz of Wallace; father Joe Brinkley and wife Mary Catherine; two grandchildren, Isabella Mintz and Kayleigh Varnam; brother, Andy Brinkley; fur friend, Winchester Mintz; beloved friends, Sue Holuman and Herbert Joyner, and many other special friends.

Amy was a beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend. She loved her family, children, grandchildren, and friends dearly. Amy enjoyed making floral arrangements for the people of the town and surrounding county.

The family will receive friends Thursday 6-7:30pm at Harrell's Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday August 6, 2021 at Riley's Creek Baptist Church. Pastor Westley Hair will officiate. Burial will follow at Mintz family cemetery.
