Alice Faye "Cookie" Harrell Yarborough, age 63 of Burgaw, passed away Saturday June 16, 2018 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

She was born October 6, 1954 in Pender County, daughter of the late Alvin and Thelma Stacy Harrell.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Eddie Yarborough Sr.; four sons, Johnny Wells of Watha, Eddie Yarborough III and wife Melissa of Rocky Point, Michael Yarborough of Burgaw and Richard Yarborough of Wallace; daughter Stephanie Taaffe and husband Daryl of Wilmington; eight grandchildren, Stanley, Savannah, Ashton, Katie, Bryson, Makayla, Michael and Savannah; one great grandchild, S J; two sisters, Anita Johnson and husband Don of Watha and Linda Walker and husband Dallas of Atkinson; and many nieces and nephews.

Cookie loved her family and her greatest joy was spending time with them. She enjoyed cooking and making new desserts. She liked to fish and loved her dogs.

Funeral services will be at 2:00PM Wednesday June 20, 2018 at Harrell's Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Aubrey Avery will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodcock Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1:00PM Wednesday one hour before the service at the funeral home.
